Ultimately, the Bannock County Planning & Development Council pulled the three agenda items pertaining to the Gravel Pit/Hot Asphalt Plant and announced they will reschedule this meeting in a larger venue in the near future.

A Bannock County Planning and Development Council meeting to discuss a proposed hot asphalt plant has been set for Aug. 10.  However, as indicated by Bannock County Planning and Development, the asphalt plant was taken off the application one day after the big meeting turnout on July 12.  The proposed gravel pit is still on the agenda for August 10.

So many residents turned out to attend this meeting that the small meeting room originally scheduled meeting location was overwhelmed!   Roughly 100 people were in attendance for the meeting Wednesday, many of which were there to oppose the proposed plan to build the plant.
