We endeavor to create “accountability" within our local government, which may be a unique and never-before attempted effort in Pocatello.

A big part of our mission is education.  We provide the public with relevant data and information to help us all become better-informed citizens.  We try to simplify and/or consolidate various data from government databases and public records into (easier to understand) graphs or tables.  We explore various data for comparison purposes, research data we want to learn more about, and seek out the data that educates us, the public and local government decision-makers alike.

We make an effort to allow you to draw your own conclusions from the data presented and always document our data sources for verification purposes.  That said, we and our volunteers each possess individual opinions based upon our individual interpretations of the data and our growing experience observing various local government meetings.

OUR MISSION
To encourage civic involvement, educate voters by sharing relevant local government data/information/decisions, and hold local elected officials accountable for their actions to deliver a government that is transparent and responsive to the Pocatello community they serve.

WHO WE ARE

Pocatello for Accountable Government Entities (P.A.G.E.) was started on Facebook in April 2020 by two concerned Pocatello citizens, Heather Disselkoen and Lydia Noble (now retired from P.A.G.E.).

Why does P.A.G.E. do what we do?  Because government is only responsive and effective when citizens do their part by KNOWING their representatives and HOLDING them accountable.  We want Pocatello citizens to be well-informed voters.  What we have observed over the past several years in the City of Pocatello is very concerning.  We pass along what we learn and our experiences.

We are a multi-partisan group with volunteers from all walks of life contributing regularly to various projects.

OUR VALUES
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY

Understanding what the local community can afford, and operating within those means by using available taxpayer funds responsibly to provide the best, most cost-effective services to our community.

TRANSPARENCY

The right of the people to govern the actions of their government through access to records, and the responsibility of elected officials not only to communicate with the public about what is happening in government, but also to provide opportunities for the public to participate in decisions that affect everyone.
HONESTY

Honesty is essential to good governance.   Dishonesty in government MUST NOT BE tolerated, it MUST BE confronted.
