Of the TOP 10 POPULATED Idaho cities we again rank #1 as the lowest population growth rate. The disparity is so significant that next lowest growth rate (Idaho Falls) is 10.3% greater than last place Pocatello!

This City Unemployment Rate Comparison shows the Pocatello Unemployment Rate has remained in line with State of Idaho and other cities in state throughout the past decade.

WORKFORCE
GROWTH
This City Labor Force population comparison shows that the growth of Pocatello labor force population is well below its peer municipalities. Again, the disparity is so significant that the labor force growth rate is only 38% of the next lowest growth rate (Coeur d'Alene).
INDUSTRY GROWTH
Utilizing the same data source as the shift-share analysis included in the City's Pocatello 2040 Comprehensive Plan, P.A.G.E. expanded the analysis to included the rest of the top 10 populated cities in Idaho.
The industry growth comparison shows that the growth of industry in Pocatello is well below its peer municipalities. Again, the disparity is so significant that the industry growth rate is 19.9% below the next lowest growth rate (Idaho Falls).
